Angela, an Image student, is preparing a thesis on audiovisual violence. After visualizing her work, her thesis director agrees to search the faculty's video library for material for her, but the next day she turns up dead. Together with Chema, a fellow expert in gore cinema, and Bosco, a strange guy, a close friend of a young woman killed in a "snuff movie", Angela will try to investigate what has happened to her director...
Reporter Ángela Vidal and her cameraman Pablo are a duo of journalists who produce a morning show in Barcelona called "Mientras usted duerme" (While you sleep), where they report on different topics. Their most recent episode is dedicated to the activities of firefighters. As part of their report, they accompany the brigade they interview to attend an emergency call coming from a building in downtown Barcelona. Upon arrival, the group is informed of the situation: one of the tenants, Mrs. Izquierdo, has locked herself in her room, disturbing the rest of the building's neighbors with her screams. Helped by two police officers who had already arrived at the scene, they go to Mrs. Izquierdo's apartment, who, during her eviction, attacks and bites one of the officers in the neck.
